FAQ

Have any questions on our high-pressure machines?

Our FAQ section has detailed answers on a great variety of topic areas. Contact us personally here at any time if you need an individual consultation.
What are the expected delivery times?

Depending on the system and configuration, our metering machines are delivered in a time period between 6 and 16 weeks.

What is the process of commissioning?
After delivery, the customer sets up the system according to our drawing, or a technician takes care of set-up on site. The electrical main connection is always carried out by qualified personnel of the customer (L1, L2, L3, N und PE). Then the commissioning is carried out by a Hennecke application engineer. Subsequently, the customer receives intensive instruction on the operation and function of the system.
What connections does a system later need for operation?

The foaming machine requires the following connections: electricity, compressed air (dried) and water. In addition, for special applications, an extraction system may be necessary for any arising vapors.

How long does instruction on the system take?

We carry out the instruction very meticulously. Depending on the system type, this can take up to three days for new customers. The inspection also generally takes a day.

What mixheads are available for the HIGHLINE, TOPLINE, and MICROLINE metering machines?

With the HIGHLINE, MT and MXL mixheads can be used for mixing a maximum of two components. These mixheads are available for various outputs. With the TOPLINE, the MT mixhead can be used for mixing up to six components and the MXL mixhead for two components. The mixheads are also available for different outputs. For very small component weights, special mixheads, as well as MT types, are used.

What mixing quality can we achieve with our mixheads?

Through the use of our metering pumps combined with the mixheads manufactured in-house, Hennecke ensures flawless mixing quality. The flow-optimized and patented injector geometry contributes especially to this quality.

How are the high-pressure mixheads manufactured by Hennecke cleaned after the shot process?

For the MXL mixhead, the outlet system is cleaned with compressed air. For the MT mixhead, the outlet system is cleaned with an integrated piston (driven hydraulically). For all mixheads, the cleaning procedures take place automatically at the end of the shot.

Can I operate the HIGHLINE or QFOAM with two mixheads?

No, if you want to use two or more mixheads, you must use a TOPLINE series metering machine. Here it must be ensured that there is always only one mixhead in use. The mixture cannot be discharged by two mixheads simultaneously. The operator selects the next mixhead to be used by pushing a button.

Can the output on the mixhead be changed without changing the injector?

By using Hennecke balanced-pressure injectors, the output can be adjusted within the limits, keeping a constant mixing pressure. This allows large and small parts to be manufactured interchangeably. Using these spring-loaded balanced-pressure injectors also results in greater production security, as any dirt particles can be eliminated via the injector gap. This also successfully prevents fluctuations in pressure.

With which mixhead can the QFOAM be operated?

For this high-pressure metering machine, the MXL air-cleaned mixhead is available.

How can the mixture ratio be changed on the HIGHLINE and TOPLINE?

The ratio can be changed via the handwheel of the metering pump and, if present, also via the speed of the drive motor using a frequency control. Using this handwheel alone, the mixture ratio can be readjusted from 1:5.

How much time do I need to change the injectors on the mixhead?

A skilled person requires about 15 minutes to change the injectors. Unskilled personnel will require about 30 minutes.

Which types of mixheads are used most commonly at Hennecke?

MT and MXL mixheads are used most commonly. The MT mixhead is a self-cleaning deflection mixhead suitable for mixing all raw materials.

Which blowing agents can be used in our high-pressure metering machines?

The following blowing agents can be used: 141b, 245fa, cyclopentane, pentane, Solstice (among others). To use cyclopentane or pentane, the metering machine must be designed accordingly and a PPT safety control with gas sensors must be used. Flammable blowing agents may not be used for the QFOAM.

Can I process blowing agents or flammable blowing agents?

Hennecke offers the option, with the PENTAMAT blowing agent metering unit, to safely process multiple blowing agents. Here, the PPT safety concept monitors the entire metering process.

Can dyed components also be manufactured from polyurethane?

Dyed components can be manufactured with our TOPLINE foaming machine. This is only limitedly possible with the QFOAM and HIGHLINE.

How can leakage be prevented on the drive shaft for the metering pump?

Use of our maintenance-free magnetic coupling can permanently eliminate the risk of leakage on the drive shaft.

How many components can be processed with our metering machines?

The QFOAM, HIGHLINE, and MICROLINE high-pressure metering machines can each process two components. The TOPLINE polyurethane metering machine can be increased to up to six components.

Which drum for polyol and isocyanate can be used for our metering machines?

Drums, containers, or large storage tanks can be used. For the refilling process from drums or containers, our work tanks are each equipped with a refilling pump that pumps the medium out of the drum. When using large tanks, the medium must be supplied via a suitable pump.

If there is a problem, can I also receive help via a remote connection?

All systems can be fitted with a remote service router, if desired. This remote service router can also be retrofitted at any time. Via this router, a service technician can log into the control and help rectify errors online. Error memories and alarm messages can be read directly.

How can systems be modified and expanded?

All machines are constructed on the modular building principle. Metering lines and components can be quickly and easily exchanged and expanded. Systems from other manufacturers can also be upgraded with Hennecke technology.

Which metering machines are best suited for low outputs?

The Hennecke metering machine MICROLINE is best suited for minimal outputs in the range of 2.5 g/s and max. output of 130 g/s.
